The Hidden Virtues of Ammonite
The Ammonite is a very powerful earth healing fossil. Its spiral shape symbolizes continual change and evolution. Ammonites have absorbed cosmic energy over eons of time and help to stimulate the life force (Chi) within. Ammonites are often used for activating Kundalini and life path energies. The Ammonite is also often recommended to put in the home to attract health, prosperity and success.
Ammonites lived in an external chambered shell, usually in the shape of a coiled spiral. Depending on the species, it could also be straight, partially bent, or corkscrewed. Their body was in the last and largest chamber. As they grew they added progressively bigger compartments to the mouth of their shell, walling off the old ones.
What do ammonites represent in Hinduism?
Stones can have a special relationship to the divine in Hinduism, like the egg shaped linga of Shiva and the rounded black shaligram shila or salagram shila of Vishnu. Shila/Sila means “stone” in Sanskrit, shaligram/saligram is a regional name of Vishnu, and shalagram/salagram refers to a location where they are found. In Hindu thought God takes on different forms for the benefit of humanity. Vishnu is the divine as preserver. He is typically depicted as blue skinned, carrying a mace, lotus, conch shell, and a discus like weapon called a chakra.
The shila or salagram is a fossil concretion from the Gandaki River in Nepal, often with prominent ammonites. They are typically black in color but pyrite inclusions may make them golden. The fossil patterns are believed to represent sacred symbols like the attributes of Vishnu, especially his chakra. In mythology Vishnu transformed into vajra kita, aquatic worms as hard as diamonds, to carve them. An interpretation of the snake like ammonites found inside. The stones are traditionally used for devotion.
What has the Ammonite in store for me ?
The Ammonite draws off all negative energies. Think of the Ammonite spirals as a filter, drawing in these dense energies which are no longer needed, moving them through the spirals and releasing them as fresh, positive, loving life force energies.Physically, Ammonites can help to increase stamina and vitality. Use Ammonites when working with issues of blood pressure or problems with the ears, lungs and degenerative disorders. Ammonites will also help to lift the heaviness that is sometimes felt during depression.
"Ammolites" are Ammonite fossils found in Madagascar and Alberta (Canada), that display iridescence by compression and mineralization of the Ammonite fossil. These iridescent Ammonites are often of gem quality when polished. In no case would this iridescence have been visible during the animal's life; additional shell layers covered it.

Blue moon on 31st of July 2015
The Meaning of Full Moons.
Magic of the Moon Spell No. 1 (Magic Moon Water)
Leave a jug of spring water out in the light of the Full Moon. This water is excellent for washing your face to impart beauty and purity and can also be used to energetically cleanse crystals and imbue them with the magic of the Full Moon.
Magic of the Moon Spell No. 2 (Prosperity Spell)
What you need:
Silver coin
Cauldron or pot
Half fill the pot with water and drop a silver coin into it. Position the pot or cauldron so the light of the Full Moon shines onto the water. Gently sweep your hands above the surface, symbolically gathering up the Moon's silver.
While you are gathering the Moon's silver, say:
La Luna, beautiful Lady of the Moon, bring to me your wealth right soon. Fill my hands with silver and gold. All you give, my hands can hold.
Repeat this chant three times. When you are finished, pour the water upon the Earth. This is most effective done during the Full Moon.
Magic of the Moon Spell No. 3 (Moon Wish Spell)
To ask for your heart's desire, draw the symbol of the Waxing Moon in a pure beeswax candle with a rose thorn. Light the candle, and with your eyes fixed upon the flame, concentrate on your heart's desire being granted by the Goddess Moon.
When this thought is firmly in your mind, whisper softly: "Goddess Luna, mother of all love and light, grant me my heart's desire (say exactly what you wish for). Grant my wishes, fulfill my heart's desire. Shine on me tonight."
Blow out the candle flame, but hold the image of it in your mind's eye for as long as possible. As you think of the candle's flame, know for sure that your wish has been heard. Within the space of one lunar cycle, your heart's desire should be granted.

Who is Yemaya?
Yemaya is the life-giving portion of the ocean. This is the area of water near the coasts and around coral reefs and such (most of the open and deep-water ocean is mostly barren and that belongs to a male Orisha, Olokun). In many stories, Yemaya gave birth to everything. Her name has multiple spellings (Yemoja, Yemonja, Yemanya, Iemonja, etc.).
When the slaves were transported across the ocean, it was Yemaya who protected them on their journey and kept them safe. She is many times seen as a double tailed mermaid. She is kind and giving. She takes a long time to anger but when she does, watch out, you have a hurricane on your hands. She is the wife of Obatala, chief and father figure of the Orishas. She is very devoted to him. She does get depressed occasionally, especially over her children (Oshun, Oya, Chango and others). She has excellent taste and does not like gaudy things. In Brazil, they hold a huge festival to her every year. On February 2nd, everyone dresses in white and goes down to the ocean. They put gifts into boats for her and then sail them out into the ocean.

Properly Showing Respect to Yemaya
Yemaya’s offerings should be laid out in a very tasteful setting. This is one classy gal. She prefers silver to gold. A plate of seafood, a bowl of fruit and a good white wine are an excellent offering. When you walk into the ocean, walk in sideways (left side pointing towards the ocean) and say hello to her. Also, throw seven pennies into the ocean or other large body of water as an offering.Help out a charity devoted to families or children specifically or just help out that single mom who lives across the street. Volunteer to baby-sit your friend’s kids for no reason whatsoever! Call your mother (biological or other) and thank her. Remember Yemaya on Mother’s day. For those coffee fanatics out there, Starbuck’s? mascot is a double-tailed mermaid and Yemaya loves coffee (especially a really foamy latte).
