Magick in your Kitchen

Magical Herbs
Let's start with the Potato. I bet you have some at home. It can be used for image magic, grounding and healing. A Potato can also be used as a poppet. Think how easy it would be to quickly carve a Potato, instead of having to sew a proper poppet.
The Carrot is mostly associated with fertility and lust. Not that surprising when you think about its shape. Almost all roots with phallic shapes have this property. The Carrot was also considered a bane to the most evil of spirits, and was used to repel them.
The properties of Cucumber also include fertility (again the shape), but also chastity and healing. For a fertility spell, keep a Cucumber in your bedroom, and replace it every seven days.
A Tomato can be used for magic workings concerning protection, prosperity and love. When a Tomato is placed on the windowsill, or any other household entrance it keeps evil from entering. Place a large red Tomato on the mantle to bring prosperity into the home. Replace it every three days.
The Onion has properties like protection, exorcism, healing, money, prophetic dreams and lust etc. Combined with Garlic it's said to fend off witches, but who'd want to do that? Take a small white Onion, stick it full of black-headed pins, and place it in a window. This will guard your home against evil.
Since the Leek is used as an onion, it too has protective powers and can be used for exorcism, but it also has love as one of its properties.
Garlic is also used for protection and exorcism, and is featured in almost every vampire story there is (at least the older ones). It can also be used for healing, lust and to avoid theft etc. Eating and carrying Garlic is believed to enhance speed, strength, courage and endurance, and soldiers throughout history have used it for these properties when going into battle.
The Artichoke is said to aid in love and spells to increase sexual desire, and eating Artichokes apparently helps prevent wet dreams and wards off Incubi and Succubi.
There are many, many more vegetables with magical properties. You just have to remember to check the ones you've got. And then there are grains.
Wheat is associated with fertility and money. A sheaf of Wheat represents the divine harvest, and is often found on older peoples' gravestones. It can also represent the long and fruitful life enjoyed by the deceased. In hex signs of the Pennsylvania Dutch farmers, it symbolizes abundance and goodwill. You can also do Wheat Flour divination. First dampen a surface (wood is good), then sprinkle Wheat Flour onto the damp surface while concentrating on your future, then use unfocused eyes to see what patterns show up in the flour.
Rye is connected to love and fidelity. Ergot, which is a very dangerous fungus, is especially common in Rye. So be careful and check that there isn't any on the Rye you're going to use.
Oats are useful in money and prosperity spells and in harvest rituals. They can be used on the altar in grain form or straw form, and the flour can be used to bake Oat cakes as offerings to the Goddess. Oats symbolize music, and I suppose you've all heard the expression 'sewing your wild oats'.
Barley can be used in love, healing, and protection work. It's thought to be a symbol of rebirth, or perhaps of birth period. Alphitomancy is an ancient method of determining the guilt or innocence of a suspect person by feeding him/her a specially prepared Wheat or Barley loaf or cake. If the person suffers from indigestion, or finds the loaf to be distasteful, this is interpreted as a sign of guilt. To undo a sorcerer's spell, one should eat Barley cakes over which an incantation has been said; but the cakes must be eaten on a Monday or Thursday, and never on Friday.
All of these grains can of course be used to make a corn dolly, although Rye is the favorite. To use one of these in your magic, you don't have to get hold of the grain itself. Most of you probably have some flour or liquor made from the grain at home, and that will do just fine.
The culinary herbs might be the first place you look for a substitute. There are so many culinary herbs and spices with magical properties, so I thought I'd just mention some uses for a few of the more common ones.
Let's start with Parsley. If eaten, Parsley induces lust and promotes fertility. It can also be used for protection. Parsley is also used in cleansing baths and to stop adversity.
Thyme is used for sleep, psychic energy, courage, healing, renewing personal energy, and for warding off negative energy. Thyme is burnt to cleanse spiritual rooms and spaces, as well as to bring good health and courage to the home. It can be placed in a sleeping pillow to help repel nightmares. They say that a place where wild Thyme grows is a particularly powerful energy center.
Cinnamon's properties include: spirituality, success, healing, power, psychic powers, lust, protection and love. When burned as incense, Cinnamon raises high spiritual vibrations, aids in healing, draws money, stimulates psychic powers and produces protective vibrations.
Dill is something we Scandinavians use frequently when cooking. Magically, it can be used for prosperity, protection, luck and lust. It's used in love and protection charms. It's effective at keeping away dark forces and useful for house blessing. Place some seeds in muslin, and hang in the shower to attract women. The scent of Dill is said to stimulate lust.
Basil is used for love, exorcism, prosperity, sympathy, and protection. It dispels confusion, fears and weakness, and drives off hostile spirits.

The Hidden Virtues of Ammonite

The Ammonite is a very powerful earth healing fossil. Its spiral shape symbolizes continual change and evolution. Ammonites have absorbed cosmic energy over eons of time and help to stimulate the life force (Chi)  within. Ammonites are often used for activating Kundalini and life path energies. The Ammonite is also often recommended to put in the home to attract health, prosperity and success.
Ammonites lived in an external chambered shell, usually in the shape of a coiled spiral. Depending on the species, it could also be straight, partially bent, or corkscrewed. Their body was in the last and largest chamber. As they grew they added progressively bigger compartments to the mouth of their shell, walling off the old ones.

What do ammonites represent in Hinduism?

Stones can have a special relationship to the divine in Hinduism, like the egg shaped linga of Shiva and the rounded black shaligram shila or salagram shila of Vishnu. Shila/Sila means “stone” in Sanskrit, shaligram/saligram is a regional name of Vishnu, and shalagram/salagram refers to a location where they are found. In Hindu thought God takes on different forms for the benefit of humanity. Vishnu is the divine as preserver. He is typically depicted as blue skinned, carrying a mace, lotus, conch shell, and a discus like weapon called a chakra.

The shila or salagram is a fossil concretion from the Gandaki River in Nepal, often with prominent ammonites. They are typically black in color but pyrite inclusions may make them golden. The fossil patterns are believed to represent sacred symbols like the attributes of Vishnu, especially his chakra. In mythology Vishnu transformed into vajra kita, aquatic worms as hard as diamonds, to carve them. An interpretation of the snake like ammonites found inside. The stones are traditionally used for devotion.

What has the Ammonite in store for me ?

The Ammonite draws off all negative energies. Think of the Ammonite spirals as a filter, drawing in these dense energies which are no longer needed, moving them through the spirals and releasing them as fresh, positive, loving life force energies.

Physically, Ammonites can help to increase stamina and vitality. Use Ammonites when working with issues of blood pressure or problems with the ears, lungs and degenerative disorders. Ammonites will also help to lift the heaviness that is sometimes felt during depression.

"Ammolites" are Ammonite fossils found in Madagascar and Alberta (Canada), that display iridescence by compression and mineralization of the Ammonite fossil. These iridescent Ammonites are often of gem quality when polished. In no case would this iridescence have been visible during the animal's life; additional shell layers covered it.

Emotional vampires

Why is this person nagging so much...???

Don't we all ask this question at some point in time. Don't we all feel that feeling that I'm drained after talking to an individual or you just feel like going back home fully knowing that you have pending work at office, this all happens cause of people known as emotional vampires. These kind of people absorb your energy by nagging, complaining or gossiping about others and at that time you may enjoy the same however minutes after that you feel like going home or just wanting to sit down with the feeling that "I have no more energy to do anything more". You may also be one... These kind of people don't just talk about others but remember that they just might talk about you as well...  There is no way of avoiding them especially if you work with them or they work for you... You may not even recognise them, however that does not mean your helpless and can not do anything about it.

Here's what you can do:

Wear a black tourmaline stone.
Use the stop gossip charm.
Wear Papa Legba's protection charm.
Carry with you a piece of Devils claw (don't freak out its a name of a herb 😊)

All of the above will prevent these vampires from draining your energy this comes into use especially if you travel by public transit cause it's not mandatory that the individual interact with you for them to be able to drain your energy even if they are present in your aura circle they are able to drain your energy...

And yes Emotional Vampires do exist.

Contact me if you find difficulty finding the above I sell them in my store I.e. Magickaly.weebly.com or mail me at magickaly003@gmail.com

Blessed be...

What is hoodoo and why use hoodoo

What is Hoodoo all about...???
Hoodoo spells are very similar in some ways to other forms of witchcraft, but you really shouldn't confuse Hoodoo and Voodoo. Despite the names, they are not the same thing at all.

Both Hoodoo and Voodoo have very rich African roots, and that is mainly where the similarities end. Voodoo (also called Vodou or Vodoun) is a true religion, with spiritual rituals and a pantheon of Gods and powerful spirits.

On the other hand, Hoodoo is a specific type of magickal practice that is not religious in itself. Sometimes called rootwork, Hoodoo uses a lot of herbs to create amulet, potion or charm-based spells. These spells tend to be very simple, with just a few ingredients to make a charm. Even though, good rootwork can be extremely powerful magick.
It is also known as  "rootworking", or "root doctoring", or "working the root"). The use of "roots" refers to herbs.

This is a method I rely on a lot as I fell it brings a lot of energy into practice as your dealing with the product at hand mixing blending binding etc etc etc... It transmits your energy and intention into whatever your doing... It also has a sort of psychology effect on your mind to positively re-I force your intention so each time you look at your charm, Gris Gris, use your oil or for that matter even hang your charm at your door or work place it reminds you each time of your intention...

Contact me for special requests and needs and I will help you build your very own Gris Gris charm oil or potion

Candle magick

Before a candle is used for candle magick or for a spell, it should be dedicated to the purpose for which it will be used. This is sometimes called “fixing” the candle.

It is ideal to use a magick oil that is specific to the purpose on a candle of the appropriate color. So you might use Money oil on a green candle for a money spell, Love oil on a red or pink candle, or Peace oil on a blue candle to bring serenity to a troubled home.

Then, to fix the candle for any positive or invoking magick of your choosing, you hold it in the middle with your weak hand (left hand if you are right handed), and anoint the candle with the fingers of your strong hand to rub the magick oil onto the top half, stroking from the center towards the wick, until the candle is completely covered with oil. If you pour a bit of the oil into the palm of your weak hand, you will have plenty to cover the candle. Then you rub the oil onto the bottom half of the candle, rubbing from the middle to the bottom.

The reasoning here is that the first half of the candle is taking your petition up towards the Heavens, and then the second half brings the prayer back down into the material planes towards manifestation. You will also have the oil on your hands to dedicate your hands as agent to your will towards manifesting your intention.

For negative or banishing magick, like binding, un-hexing, or releasing, the pattern would be opposite, first you would stroke from the middle down, then from the middle to the wick.

When you are using glass cased candles, like the very popular and useful seven-day candles, there are two ways to use magick oils. Before you light the candle, you can use a nail or some other tool to make a deep hole next to the wick. Then, best as you can, dribble the magick oil into the hole. Or you can dab a bit of oil on top of the wax, drawing a circle around the wick prior to lighting. Once the candle is lit and going well, and there is a molten pool of wax around the wick, you can add more oil without messing up the wick. Repeating this process will give your candle a good smell from the oil. I like to use these candles for more long-term purpose intentions, and they work really well with silver and gold paint markers if you want to draw sigils onto the glass jar.  For request oils and the above mentioned oils or candles or herb mixes to use for anointing of candles mail me at magickaly003@gmail.com or message me on FB... I'll arrange them to be mailed to you with a detailed description of how to use them to attain your requests.

Lets banish ill health

Hello people here I go with a spell that can be used for banishing ill health emotionally  and physically... This is a very simple simple that only requires a lot of faith and trust in your own powers...

What will you need:

One Apple
Mint leaves
Wooden stick ( skewer)
Black cord or satin black ribbon
Black candle

What to do:

Again as always you first need to calm down centre your self and gather your thoughts with your intention behind your spell example "I'm working with this spell to get rid of my hip pain or allergies or stress so that I can move on with my daily activities without hindrances"

Cut the apple in two exact halves horizontally so the star of the apple is seen i.e the seeds

Rub one of the half with a sprig of mint while visualising your pain that you are going thru or the emotion that you may be going thru that you would wanna banish

Put the other half of the apple back together and bind with the black cord

Light your black candle affirming your positive health / emotional state

Sit in front of the lit candle for a while watching the candle burn down.

Burry the same with the candle remains and have a bath with energised salt.

As the apple rots your intention will bear fruit.

Message me with your results questions and or feedback and I will be more than happy to respond.

A request spell for one and all

So people I'm here with my second post and this a very versatile ritual on S.T Expedite it can be used in any request as long as you remember the rule of three (what ever you do will come back to you three times fold good or bad) and you are not greedy... I can assure I have worked with him multiple times and gained amazing and speedy results

Saint Expedite is the patron of those who hope for rapid solutions to problems, who wish to avoid or put an end to delays, and who want general financial success. His feast day is April 19... Expedite is typically depicted as a young Roman centurion holding aloft a cross marked HODIE ("today" in Latin) and squashing a crow beneath his right foot. Out of the dying crow's mouth issues a word-ribbon, CRAS ("tomorrow" in Latin). Thus Expedite destroys a vague tomorrow in favour of a definite today.

There is a cute pun in what the crow says: CRAS CRAS CRAS is how Romans imitated the sound of crows (in English, this is CAW CAW CAW), thus crows and ravens are said to always be croaking about "tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow." Expedite, by stomping the crow, destroys the vice of procrastination (pro-CRAS-tination means putting things off until tomorrow).

Here begins the spell :

What you need :

Image of of the Saint (optional).
Votive candle (white or colour co-ordinating your request green for money pink for love etc etc etc)
Glass of water

What you need to do:

Like in all my spells sit down calm yourself once your centred  invoke papa Legba to open the gates for St expedite so that you can have a conversation with him pour a cap of rum for him on the ground and once you feel that St. Expedite is ready to listen to you talk to him about why you have called him today...focus on his image... And start your prayer... As you recite this prayer, light the votive candle to Saint Expedite next to a glass of water for the Saint. Recite daily until the request is granted, then be sure to give Saint Expedite a gift. Also place a thank you on a social site or an ad in the news paper thanking Saint Expedite, so that his name and fame will grow...

Saint Expedite, you lay in rest.
I come to you and ask that
         this wish be granted.

      (State your petition)

Expedite now what i ask of you.
Expedite now what i want of you,
         this very second.
      Don't waste another day.
Give me what i ask for.
      I know your power,
I know you because of your work.
I know you can do it.
Do this for me and i'll
spread your name with love and honor
and cause your name to be invoked.
Expedite this wish with speed, love,
      honor, and goodness.
      Glory to you, Saint Expedite!

As always ping me for any questions requests and concerns also contact me for oil or candles if you don't know where to get them from... )o( MagickAly )o(

Blue moon on 31st of July 2015

The Meaning of Full Moons.

The full moon is considered by many as a time of great power and the ideal time for many rituals. The Moon is representative of the Goddess as the Sun is representative of the God. The bond that links them is that the light of the moon is the reflected light of the sun transmuted by the Goddess and given back to the earth. The information you will find in this article is based solely on my own research and experience and is not a definitive guide to the pagan moons.
The Native Americans had a name for each of these moons as they tracked through the course of the year. Each moon had a special meaning to mark the importance of the time of year and what activities that would take place in their lives. Different tribes had different names for the different moons and the list is too long to include in this article. See the attached link for many more names of the different Native American tribe for the full moons.

The Blue Moon
Most years have only 12 full moons, but every two to three years there is a 13th moon which is called the Blue Moon. The Native Americans did not have a specific name for this moon as their ‘calendar’ was marked from moon to moon. But for pagans the Blue Moon is considered a time of special significance. The magic of the Blue Moon has great power for rituals at this time.

"Pray to the Moon when She is round,
Luck with you shall then abound
What you seek for shall be found,
In sea or sky or solid ground."
Spells that you can perform to draw the energy of the moon to yourself:

Magic of the Moon Spell No. 1 (Magic Moon Water)

Leave a jug of spring water out in the light of the Full Moon. This water is excellent for washing your face to impart beauty and purity and can also be used to energetically cleanse crystals and imbue them with the magic of the Full Moon.

Magic of the Moon Spell No. 2 (Prosperity Spell)

What you need:
Silver coin
Cauldron or pot

Half fill the pot with water and drop a silver coin into it. Position the pot or cauldron so the light of the Full Moon shines onto the water. Gently sweep your hands above the surface, symbolically gathering up the Moon's silver.

While you are gathering the Moon's silver, say:

La Luna, beautiful Lady of the Moon, bring to me your wealth right soon. Fill my hands with silver and gold. All you give, my hands can hold.

Repeat this chant three times. When you are finished, pour the water upon the Earth. This is most effective done during the Full Moon.

Magic of the Moon Spell No. 3 (Moon Wish Spell)

picture of a waxing moon

To ask for your heart's desire, draw the symbol of the Waxing Moon in a pure beeswax candle with a rose thorn. Light the candle, and with your eyes fixed upon the flame, concentrate on your heart's desire being granted by the Goddess Moon.

When this thought is firmly in your mind, whisper softly: "Goddess Luna, mother of all love and light, grant me my heart's desire (say exactly what you wish for). Grant my wishes, fulfill my heart's desire. Shine on me tonight."

Blow out the candle flame, but hold the image of it in your mind's eye for as long as possible. As you think of the candle's flame, know for sure that your wish has been heard. Within the space of one lunar cycle, your heart's desire should be granted.

Yemaya's Cavern - Mistress of the Seas

Who is Yemaya?
Yemaya is the life-giving portion of the ocean. This is the area of water near the coasts and around coral reefs and such (most of the open and deep-water ocean is mostly barren and that belongs to a male Orisha, Olokun). In many stories, Yemaya gave birth to everything. Her name has multiple spellings (Yemoja, Yemonja, Yemanya, Iemonja, etc.).
When the slaves were transported across the ocean, it was Yemaya who protected them on their journey and kept them safe. She is many times seen as a double tailed mermaid. She is kind and giving. She takes a long time to anger but when she does, watch out, you have a hurricane on your hands. She is the wife of Obatala, chief and father figure of the Orishas. She is very devoted to him. She does get depressed occasionally, especially over her children (Oshun, Oya, Chango and others). She has excellent taste and does not like gaudy things. In Brazil, they hold a huge festival to her every year. On February 2nd, everyone dresses in white and goes down to the ocean. They put gifts into boats for her and then sail them out into the ocean.

Traditional Colors: Blue and white
Number: 7
Areas of Influence: Motherhood, the ocean, fishermen, family issues, pregnancy, women’s issues, children, healing (especially female plumbing issues)
Entities associated with: Our Lady of Regla
Symbols: Anything ocean related, especially dolphins, fish, shells, etc., 2 tailed mermaid, 7 silver bracelets, a necklace made with alternating 7 blue and 7 white beads.
Offerings: fish, fruits (watermelon, cantaloupe, berries, and coconut especially), white wine, all seafood, lettuce, coffee
Feast Days: September 7th (Santeria), February 2nd (Brazil), Mother’s day
Astrology: The sign of Cancer
Tarot: The Empress, 3 of cups
Chakra: Heart
Gemstones: Pearls, blue topaz, aquamarine, blue lace agate, mother of pearl, silver
Animals: Dolphins, fish of all kinds, Ducks, geese, swans and other water birds, blue butterflies, sea horses
Entities of Similar Energy: Isis, Frigga, Kuan Yin, Mothers everywhere and Ocean deities
Plants associated with: Watermelon, lettuce, berries.

Properly Showing Respect to Yemaya

Yemaya’s offerings should be laid out in a very tasteful setting. This is one classy gal. She prefers silver to gold. A plate of seafood, a bowl of fruit and a good white wine are an excellent offering. When you walk into the ocean, walk in sideways (left side pointing towards the ocean) and say hello to her. Also, throw seven pennies into the ocean or other large body of water as an offering.
Help out a charity devoted to families or children specifically or just help out that single mom who lives across the street. Volunteer to baby-sit your friend’s kids for no reason whatsoever! Call your mother (biological or other) and thank her. Remember Yemaya on Mother’s day. For those coffee fanatics out there, Starbuck’s? mascot is a double-tailed mermaid and Yemaya loves coffee (especially a really foamy latte).
